This is a main entrance to top floor flats, made in Iroko wood. As it is an external stairway, it needed to be made in a very durable timber. #Iroko is a hardwood from tropical Africa. Its colour is initially yellow but darkens to a rich golden brown over time. It is a very durable wood and excellent for exterior use, not requiring regular treatments with oil or varnish.
